Each year, 54 (one-time) scholarships each worth EUR 5,000 are available to prospective bachelor’s or master’s degree students. The University is seeking young, intelligent, talented and ambitious people who view themselves as citizens of the world.

Eligibility:

You are eligible for a World Citizen Talent Scholarship if you:

• Come from outside the European Union (and not from Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland or Surinam).

• Are enrolling for the first time at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

• Will have to pay the full institutional tuition fee rate.

• Have never applied for this scholarship before.

• Have not applied for the Holland Scholarship.

• Have been provisionally accepted as a student (also-called offer of student position) on or before 1 May 2017.

To apply for the scholarship, you must first apply to the Bachelor or Master programme of your choice and write an essay following the essay guidelines. Submit your essay by completing the scholarship application form between 1 November 2016-31 March 2017.

Holland Scholarship for Non-EEA International Students

Brief description:

The Holland Scholarship, financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their bachelor’s or master’s at one of the Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences  in Holland.

The scholarship amounts to €5,000.  Please note that this is not a full-tuition scholarship.  The grant is awarded for one year and can only be received once.

Eligibility:

• Your nationality is non-EEA.

• You are applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions.

• You meet the specific requirements of the institution of your choice.  You can find these on the website of the institution.

• You have never before studied at an education institution in the Netherlands.

Application instructions:

You must apply for the Holland Scholarship directly to the participating institution of your choice.  The deadline for applications is either 1 February 2017 or 1 May 2017.

CDU Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarships

Brief description:

Charles Darwin University (CDU) offers the Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarships to international students who have a record of academic excellence and high achievement and who are seeking to
 commence an Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework degree at CDU.

25% or 50% of the tuition fee. The tuition scholarships apply to the 
tuition fees for the full duration of the degree.

Eligibility:

Eligible applicants must:

• A demonstrated record of academic excellence and high achievement in previous relevant studies and qualifications
• Must meet the University’s academic and English entry requirement
• An unconditional offer (SVP cleared) of admission to the degree at CDU for Semester 2, 2017
• Not hold a scholarship from an Australian or foreign sponsoring agency
• Submitted a completed application for the scholarship by 1 May 2017 for commencement in Semester 2, 2017
• Not hold a current Australian Citizenship, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizenship.

Please note: the VCIHAS scholarships are very competitive and meeting the minimum eligibility standards described above does not guarantee that you will be awarded a scholarship.
