Brief description:

Each year, University College of Northern Denmark has a few scholarship places for non-EU/EEA citizens who are enrolled on a study programme at UCN.

Scholarship value/duration:

UCN’s scholarship programme covers from 30-50 % of the tuition fees which means that the rest must be paid by the student. Scholarships may be awarded for the entire duration of a study programme or for single semesters.

The people who are awarded a scholarship from UCN may under certain circumstances also receive an additional small sum each month to cover parts of their living expenses.

Eligibility:

The scholarship can only be considered provided the student fulfills the below requirements:

• Is a citizen of a country outside the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA)

• Does not have permanent residence in an EU or EEA country

• Is NOT studying in Denmark through an exchange programme or any other study agreement which is tuition fee waiving

• Has shown good academic results previously from former studies or passed exams

• Has passed an English language test, preferably an IELTS test with a score of 6.0 or similar recognised test with a high score provided for academic studies

Application instructions:

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must apply and be accepted to one of the English-taught study programmes that UCN offers. Applicants must also submit a scholarship application form including a motivation letter stating the reasons for applying to UCN and the reasons for applying for the specific programme in question.  The application period is from 1 February – 15 March for September intake or 1 October -1 November for February intake.

York University offers the Global Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships and the International Entrance Scholarships specifically for international students who would like to take a full-time undergraduate degree at University of York.

To be considered for the Major International Scholarships, you must meet ALL of the following criteria:

•   Be an international student who is required to have a Study Permit to study in Canada.

•  Be applying directly from high school no more than two years after graduation and have no previous university or college studies

•  Have applied to an undergraduate degree program that begins in the Fall 2017 term under the following faculties: Arts, Media, Performance & Design; Environmental Studies; Education; Glendon; Health; Lassonde School of Engineering; Liberal Arts & Professional Studies; Science; or the Schulich School of Business

• Posses an excellent academic record (“A” average or equivalent) and have demonstrated leadership through community service or excellence in the arts, sports or other areas of individual achievement

• Submit all required documents to complete the York application by 15 Feb 2017 at 11:59:59 pm, Eastern Time (EST) (e.g, predicted grades, copies of transcript or GAP letters or language proficiency)

• Complete the online International Student Scholarship Application Form by 15 February 2017 at 11:59:59 pm, Eastern Time (EST)

ICSP Scholarships at University of Oregon USA

International students who demonstrate financial need and exceptional merit may apply for the International Cultural Service Program (ICSP).  The ICSP scholarship has a cultural service component which requires students to give presentations about their home country to children, community organizations, and UO students, faculty and staff

Eligibility:

  1. Applicants must be admissible or fully admitted to the University of Oregon. New students must apply for admission to the UO for 2017-18 by 15 January 2017.
  2. Applicants cannot be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or eligible to receive U.S. federal financial assistance.
  3. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and meet the minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA requirement

ICSP students agree to complete 80 hours per year of cultural service as required by the program.
