For some people, their majors need a lot of attention. Majors such as science, mathematics, and research for transformation, or also known as SMART can be a very prestigious major to obtain. Unfortunately not many people have the chance to choose the SMART major.
To take the SMART major, the main problem that has to be dealt with is paying for the high tuition costs involved with this major. Indeed attending a great university that offers the best SMART major is not an easy thing to do, which is why you would need to know more about the DoD SMART scholarship.

Another reason this scholarship is given is so that when the students that receive the DoD SMART scholarship finish their study in the required field can become a civilian engineer and scientist that works directly for the Department of Defense in one of their laboratories.
The DoD SMART scholarship is available for both undergraduate and graduate students and is given full tuition for their study. And when they have completed and fully received their degree they also are given full employment by the Department of Defense.
Majors that are eligible for DoD SMART scholarship
Not all majors in science, technology, engineering, and mathematic fields are eligible for the DoD SMART scholarship. That is why you should know that the major that you want to take is eligible before you apply for any of the DoD SMART scholarship programs.
